Spide

Spide is a fast paced arcade racing game.
Goal of the game is to be the fastest on each track. Every personal best is stored online and you can compete against anyone replay at any time !
I've been working on it since 9 month and I think it's time to release an early access version of it.

Gameplay

Gameplay focus on precision and speed
It's hard, and you will have to race on the four initial races to get the hang of it.
After that, try to beat all the trophies (they act as medals in Trackmania).

  • Bronze / silver ones should be easy to get
  • Gold ones are a bit harder and will request you to have good trajectory and turns.
  • Diamond trophies are really really really hard to get. To this day, i'm the only one to ever got them.

If you were able to get all of the trophies, you can also compete against any player to get the world record on each track. Every time is stored online with a replayable ghost that you can compete against :)

Controls

Only playable with a controller (PS3 / PS4 / PS5 / Xbox 360 / Xbox One / Xbox Series)

  • RT: Accelerate
  • LT: Brake
  • B: Try again

And that's pretty much it for the controls, everything is explained in game and you have a small tutorial to get the hang of it.

Future

I will continue to release maps / skins and features, but first I want to see if you guys like it :)

About me

I made all of the code / 3D / 2D / server myself, and I'm really proud of that. Big shoutout to the musicians who let me use their song in the game to produce a real immersive experience.

Hope you guys like it !

This looks amazing, I hope I'll have time to give it a try soon. Kinda surprised it only works with a controller. Is there a reason other than artistic choice?

Wow it is amazing

Thank you :)
